Till it now it was known that Gear S2 has round watchface and rotating dial with Tizen operating system. This operating system belongs to Samsung and is quite different from Android platform. Now it has been revealed that Gear S2 is not a single watch but it will have three versions and each would have different designs and features. Moreover, the firm claims that battery life would be extended going around two to three days and if its true then it would certainly gain edge over Apple Watch whose battery life is around one day.
Samsung was already ahead of Apple Watch for around eighteen months with its first smartwatch Galaxy Gear and also released its different models before December 2014. There are two different styles in Gear S2, one is named Gear S2 and other is Gear S2 classic. The classic model comes with black body and leather band. The simple Gear S2 is little larger and heavier. Both the watches are water and dust resistant and inside specs of both models are almost the same. The watch is equipped with a processor of 1.0 GHz and has storage capacity of 4GB. Both the models have different features like sensors, accelerometer, heart rate monitor, gyroscope, light sensor and also a barometer. The watch will also have Bluetooth and wifi options.
The simple Gear S2 will be having two different options for color like silver body with white band or matching body with dark grey band. The Classic version will be having black color with leather band. According to rumors Samsung is going to gain market share once again with its new launch with bezel controlled interface. So far there is no information regarding the price, device compatibility and availability for Gear S2.
