Sometimes when you move from Android to iOS or you change your smartphone then this is how to get you old chat or chat history with you. It'll be really easy if you are using SD Card.

Just Go to Menu > WhatsApp > Settings > Chat Settings > Backup Chat. 

Note: Backup will be made in Internal Storage. You can use File Explorer to find /sdcard/whatsapp/ folder and move manually to SD card and you are done. Move the SD Card to your new phone and install WhatsApp and click on restore when prompted. iOS users click here to back up your chat.

How to hide last seen:

When you chat with someone, under the contact no. or name, usually a time appers and that time is there "last seen" time, which tells you when they checked there WhatsApp for the last time.

If you don't want that people should see that then you can disable it. Follow the steps: 

Go to WhatsApp > Settings > Account > Privacy > Last Seen > Nobody.
Be aware that if you will do so then you alsp won't be able to see there last seen. In the same way you can make your DP and Status Private or Personal from privacy menu.

How to lock WhatsApp:

In android devices you have a variety of choices that can enable you to lock your WhatsApp. Either by pin or by pattern or password. Try out Messenger and Chat Block, Smart AppLock or App Locker to protect your personal chat.

For iOS users there's no way to lock there WhatsApp until it is not jailbreaked. Some apps can even snap a photo for you if someone tried to access it without you permission. On windows you can use AppLocker Pro and for BlackBerry, use WhatsApp Locker.

How to hide blue ticks(Message Read Sign) on WhatsApp:

Sometime, when you are busy working and instantly your mate ping you on WhatsApp. You saw that message and than a blue mark arrives instantly by the side of text which means you read that message.

But what if you didn't replied to that message. Your mate may think that you are ignoring him/her. So in that situation you can hide that blue tick so that nobody should be able to see that if you have read your message or not. Now, how you can do that? Follow us..!!

Open your WhatsApp messenger > Settings > Account > Privacy. 

Now here's te tricky part, Just Disable (Unmark) the option of "Read Receipts". And You are Done. ?? Note: If you will disable "Read Receipts" Option, You also won't be able to see the blue marks of others chat.

Here is how you can use WhatsApp on your PC/Laptop. Open any web browser on your PC/Laptop and search for WhatsApp Web and follow the instructions on your Phone. Connect your phone to internet. Open WhatsApp and search for the option "WhatsApp Web". A QR code will appear. Scan it in the browser and you are done. Now you will start recieving notifications on your PC/Laptop. You can chat from your PC/Laptop.

Note: It does’t work for iOS.

How to mute WhatsApp Group Permanently:

Sometimes group conversations create a lot of noise. You may not want to leave the conversation, but you probably don’t want a notification every time someone chips in.

For iOS users:

Open WhatsApp > Group Chat > Group Info > Tap on Mute.

Select the time period for 1 year and Now unmark the “Show notification” Option to stop receiving notifications from group. For Android Users: Open WhatsApp > Open group chat menu > Mute and select the time and unmark the “Show notification” option. You are Done.

Stop image showing in your camera roll:

You probably don’t want all the images from WhatsApp to appear in your Camera Roll on iOS, or in your Gallery or Photos app on Android.

For iOS users:

To overcome this just go to your WhatsApp> Settings > Privacy > Photos and toggle WhatsApp off.

For Android users: Use any file manager, and go to SD card/WhatsApp/Media, then tap New at the bottom left in any folder you don't want shared, and create a file called .nomedia. Your images won't pop up in the gallery anymore.

How to recover deleted messages or chat:

For your kind information, let you know that, everyday at 4:00 AM, WhatsApp creates a backup for all you chats and conversation. And the easiest way to recover the deleted chat is to uninstall and reinstall WhatsApp. During the installation process, it will ask you to backup and restore. And your last week’s full chat will be recovereed.
If you want to recover your all time chat then use ES File Explorer and go to SD Card/WhatsApp/Database/ to see your backup. Rename the file you want to msgstore.db.crypt and then go to Settings > Apps > WhatsApp > Clear data, then start it up and restore when prompted.

How to send private message in group:

You might want to save some time by sending out a bulk message, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that you want all the recipients to know it’s a group message. The broadcast feature let’s you send out the same message to multiple contacts, but it will appear as a private message between the two of you for them. For android users: Open WhatsApp > Group Chat > Tap Menu > then New broadcast.

For iOS users:

Open WhatsApp > Group Chat > Tap Broadcast Lists on the Chats screen > then tap New List.

If they reply, it will only go to you, not the full list.
