Initially Lensbaby introduced LM-10 which was all fun but little difficult to use. Now the company has introduced a new creative kit with two lenses of special effects with a kickstand for $90 only. The new system has the usual fun picture effects with a better design and bigger lenses which are simple to handle like the previous version but is with bulkier mount. The mount is available for iPhone 5, 5s, 6 and 6 +. For iPhone 5c and android phones mount of stainless steel is available.
The kit is quite easy to use. A clamp holds the mount over camera lens and lens slide in. The lens having magnetic circle gets attached to metallic plate of the mount with plastic sides keeping lens in center over camera lens. Its pretty simple overall and mount can be left on phone as it is quite small.
The kit comes in with two new lenses of LM-20 and LM-30. LM-20 has a larger focus area and LM-30 is little different from the usual as it gives the kaleidoscopic effect using exterior of lens. It can be used for videos having extraordinary movement. LM-20 does not give much effects when taking square Instagram photos but LM-30 works much better for such photos.
The new app is quite different from the earlier one with more feature and interface. There are six icons on right of screen which include flip, white balance, exposure lock, sharpness, spot meter and gridlines. Toggling between still mode and video is through upper right icon and shutter or record button is on middle right side. Tapping the screen gives autofocus and option for color effect like vivid and monochrome is not available but can be used through camera app. The new version is quite faster than the previous one.
